Dili, 1 June 2026; Fokupers through the Children’s Home division (CRECHE) celebrates World Children’s Day (June 1) with joy and spirit together. This celebration is an important moment to remind everyone that every child has the right to love, education, protection, and equal opportunities to grow and develop optimally.
Child protection and education are the main foundation for forming a healthy, intelligent, confident, and positive future generation. A safe, healthy, happy environment free from all forms of violence is crucial for children’s growth and development. Through proper education and protection, children can develop their full potential and prepare for a brighter future.
To commemorate Universal Children’s Day, CRECHE Fokupers teachers and students first participated in a series of educational activities for three days.
On May 28, 2026, Teachers and students held a charity drive to collect donations of basic necessities and clothing from parents. This activity aims to develop the values of caring, compassion, empathy, sharing, and social awareness in children from an early age. Through this activity, children learn the importance of helping others and sharing with those in need.
Further, on May 29, 2026, CRECHE Fokupers conducted a community clean-up with students. This activity is designed to teach the importance of maintaining a clean environment, foster a sense of responsibility, and instill in children a clean and healthy lifestyle from an early age. Through a fun and interactive approach, children are encouraged to understand that, cleanliness is a shared responsibility.
The final event was on June 1, 2026, with the celebration of World Children’s Day attended by teachers, students, parents, and guests. The celebration was lively, with various performances by students, including singing performances, poetry readings, competitions, fashion shows, educational games, and the distribution of prizes and certificates to students.
Through these various activities, children not only gain good experiences but also have the opportunity to develop creativity, confidence, and communication skills, as well as strengthen relationships between school, family, and community.
The success of this entire series of activities is due to the dedication and hard work of the CRECHE Fokupers teachers, as well as the close support and cooperation of the students’ parents. Strong collaboration between teachers and parents is a crucial factor in creating a positive learning environment and supporting the holistic development of children.
Fokupers, through CRECHE, remains committed to providing quality education and care, while ensuring that, every child has the right to grow, learn, play, and develop in a safe, inclusive, and loving environment.
